Doula Care for Companionship and Respite Care
Companionship and Respite Care
When we hear the word "doula" we often think of pregnancy and birth but our doulas are here to support you through whatever life circumstance you're going through including the need for kind and loving companionship and respite care, no matter your age.
From early childhood to adults and seniors too, there are times that we need someone there to simply be a friend and lend a helping hand. During periods of change, transition, illness and caregiver fatigue this can be incredibly helpful for children, parents, partners and more as it can free up the space we need to care for ourselves too.
So, if you're in need an extra hand, some loving kindness for yourself, your parents, your partner or your kid(s), we're happy to be there for you!
Because it takes a village to move through our difficult moments and we'd be honored to support you.
We look forward to meeting you!
With love and gratitude,
Katie Cavuto

Love Stories
My mom has Alzheimer's dementia and Katie and Honoring You have been a huge help. Katie cares for my mom as a friend and has been there for me too. She helped me connect with Social Work to get resources that I could use to transition my Mom’s care to Medicaid which has taken many months to do. During that time I could use the sliding scale to get my mom the care she needs and the care provided by Honoring You goes beyond what I’ve seen.
Katie, Agine and now Gina too, take care of my mom and me like we’re family and I know they love us too. Beyond taking care of her basic needs like helping with hygiene and meals to eat, they all come up with activities that she really likes to do and that make her laugh too. Agine and Katie had a disco dance party with her and borrowed a sequined jumpsuit for her to wear. She loves when they are there.
They go on outings like lunch at a café, a drive and they listen to music my mom loves the whole time. They have even taken my mom to music concerts and to make donations at local schools as my mom loves music, caring for people and giving back to the community. She was a social worker for the majority of her career.
They help my mom connect to who she is and what she likes, like watching movies she loves and they have found books she can't put down. “Queen for a Day” is how they treat her every day and she loves when they say that too.
They are there when I need support to, be it transportation to a doctor’s appointment or just someone to talk to.
I am grateful for the care we receive from Honoring You. They have made her care much more affordable for me.
